LANDSCAPE DESIGN
This project executed with another student consisted of designing the landscape of the new Campus of our own University. The project goal was to design an enjoyable campus for students, where they could all access green spaces, have possible gatherings, study spaces, recreation areas and rest areas.
Raised beds were designed with built-in wooden benches.
Raised beds were designed in such a way that they were oriented for maximum sunlight exposure, and in order to create a more functional directional flow. Those raised beds were intended as recreational resting spaces. The wooden benches and the raised beds were integrated, generating the appearance of a visual continuum.
Stone tiles and LED light lines were chosen for the floor to generate a new geometric order and visual richness, enhancing the diagonal design.
The project included an outdoor dining room/café, composed of a raised wooden deck. Its shape exalts the diagonal and marks a path.
The presence of trees in the raised beds make a more visually attractive environment, and generates a freshness sensation due to its shade effect.
An amphitheater constituted by a wood deck was also added, with the intention of generating an open space design aimed for possible lectures, architecture exhibitions and recreation/solarium space.
